With approximately 72 homes along its shores, Lake Yonah is one of the smallest and quietest of the six lakes in our region managed by Georgia Power. Covering 325 acres, the lake is encircled with beautiful granite walls and native vegetation.
Much of the approximately nine miles of shoreline remains pristinely natural. Lake Yonah is a favorite spot for flat water kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing and other water sports. It is a short drive from the lake to Tallulah Falls,GA, Toccoa, GA or Clarkesville, GA and sits 744 feet above sea level. To learn more about this nature lover’s lake, visit the Lake Yonah Homeowner’s Association website.
If you enjoy golfing, there is the Currahee Club, Apple Mountain, and the Orchard golf courses nearby.
