Lake Yonah

With approximately 72 homes along its shores, Lake Yonah is one of the smallest and quietest of the six lakes in our region managed by Georgia Power. Covering 325 acres, the lake is encircled with beautiful granite walls and native vegetation. It is the perfect place for those who love nature and are looking for Lake Yonah real estate in Rabun County.

Much of the approximately nine miles of shoreline remains pristinely natural. Lake Yonah is a favorite spot for flat water kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing and other water sports. It is a short drive from the lake to Tallulah Falls, GA, Toccoa, GA or Clarkesville, GA. It also sits 744 feet above sea level. Lake Yonah is also a source of fresh water for the town of Toccoa, which is approximately 22 miles (35 km) away.

Also, if you enjoy golfing, there is the Currahee Club, Apple Mountain, and the Orchard golf courses nearby.
